Chris joined Bayleys in March 2010. The role has involved assisting with the formation of a Bayleys Valuations office in Wellington, practice development, and servicing a diverse range of clients' valuation requirements.
2007 - 2009: Darroch Valuations, Wellington
This role involved establishing a new office for Darroch Valuations, which at that time was not represented in the Wellington region.
2005 - 2006 PRP, Wellington
Chris was involved with practice management and day to day client work.
2002 - 2005: Rolle Valuations, Wellington
Rolle Valuations was a long established valuation company with offices in Wellington, Kapiti, Auckland, and Christchurch.
2001: Knight Frank, Wellington
Chris re-established property valuation services for Knight Frank in Wellington.
2000 - 2001: Warwick J Tiller and Associates, Wellington
Chris was taken on to develop the commercial and industrial side of the business.
1988 - 1999: Hadley and Lyall, Marlborough
Chris relocated to Blenheim in late 1987 and joined the established local practice of Hadley and Lyall. He was one of two partners who covered the entire Marlborough region.
His main focus was on commercial, industrial, residential, lifestyle holdings, vineyards, and holiday homes. The practice was also the primary advisor to District and Regional Councils in the region.
1977 - 1987
Chris commenced his valuations career with the Government-owned Valuation Department as a cadet Valuer. He completed both the Urban and Rural Institute of Valuers exam syllabus' and gained registration as a Valuer in 1982.
He progressed through a series of positions of responsibility and was Senior District Valuer (Wellington) for two years before leaving to pursue a private practice opportunity in Marlborough.
His role as Senior District Valuer included management, providing valuation services, to government departments and agencies, supervision of rating valuations supplied to Wellington City Council, and dealing with objections to rating valuations before the Wellington Land Valuations Tribunal.
